One sketch 2 ways

Hi friends!  Happy (almost) New Year to you all in the US!!!  It has been a little quiet on my blog here with all the Christmas busyness and then traveling to my sisters house to celebrate Christmas with them after Christmas, made for little time in my craft room.  Then when I did have time my Mojo had left the house.  UGH!!!  I think it is slowly coming back though.

Yesterday Maureen posted a new CAS sketch on StampNation. She shared 2 ways to use the sketch using the same stamp set.  I am always inspired by Maureen and her cards/sketches.  This sketch was no exception.  Here are my two cards using the same sketch.

I received this Santa stamp from SU! recently.  I needed to ink it up and this sketch worked perfectly for it.  I surely hope my Mojo is here to stay!

Thank you so much for visiting and have a very Happy New Year!

Dazzling Divas challenge and sneak peek

Hi friends.  I am playing along with this week's Dazzling Diva Challenge over on Monica's blog, Add a Little Dazzle.  This week is a photo inspiration.  Here is the beautiful photo.

I pulled the music sheets, silver and went from there.  The ornament is made from the metal sheets that Monica sells in her store.  She carries a variety of colors and you can use the sheets just like you would use paper.  So fun!

I am also entering this over at Simon Wednesday Challenge Blog, Bling it on!

Here is my sneak peek of this week's challenge at StampNation.

The challenge is "Anything goes".  I used the inlaid die cutting technique but layered the word Peace so it would stand out even more.  StampNation members can view the full card here.

Mojo Monday & Dynamic Duos

Hi friends!  Today's card was inspired by Mojo Monday and Dynamic Duos.  I took some liberties with the sketch but you can still see it.

We woke up this morning to temps below zero, 20 below to be exact.  YIKES!  That is cold.  I don't think I am venturing out anywhere today.  Going to stay inside and stay warm.  Is it cold where you are?

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Dazzling Diva Challenge #4

Happy Friday friends!  I am sharing a CAS card for this week's Dazzling Diva Challenge.  This week is a color challenge.  The colors are Cherry Cobbler, Kiwi Kiss, & Coastal Cabana.  Kiwi Kiss is retired and I never owned that color so I substituted Gumball Green.  Hope that is acceptable?

This card was very easy to put together using the Snow Festival DSP by SU!  My friend Catherine shared a great card over at StampNation the other day and this is my take on it.

Thank you for visiting and have a great weekend!!

Hi friends.  I am sharing a card today that was inspired by a great new sketch Maureen added to The Classroom at StampNation.  I just love the sketch.  Thank you, Maureen.

This card was also inspired by the colors in the photo at Fusion Card challenge and CASology's cue word: Snowflakes.

I used my new silver Hero Arts shadow ink for the silver ornaments.  This ink is so beautiful in person.

CAS(E) this Sketch! #56

Hi friends.  When I saw the sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch! this week, I knew exactly what I wanted to do.  I have been in love with this card by Laurie ever since she posted it.  Laurie was inspired by an envelope and when I look at this sketch turned on its side, I see an envelope.  Thank you for the inspiration, Laurie.

 Same design using different DSP!

Merry Monday #87

Happy Monday friends!  It is time for another Merry Monday challenge

This week's challenge is to create a card with a mitten(s) on it.  Can you believe that I do not have one stamp or die cut of mittens?  I need to remedy that soon.  :)  I was very fortunate to receive these adorable little mitten charms from a very special friend.  Perfect timing and perfect for this challenge.  Here is a close up of how adorable they are.

Too stinkin' cute, right?!

Celebrate

Happy Saturday friends!  Today's card is for a couple different challenges.  The first one is for Sketch Frenzy Friday.

The second challenge is for Monica's Dazzling Diva's Challenge.  This week is all about "embossing techniques".  I am really looking forward to getting the metal sheets Monica sells in her store.  I think this card would look amazing with the purple metal sheet embossed with this fun Happy Birthday embossing folder.

I had to make a Christmas card using this sketch too.  :)  I stamped the sentiments on both of these cards using Elegant Eggplant ink but it is very muted on the gray DSP.  :(  I am entering the snowflake card over at Addicted to CAS.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

CASology ~ Ribbon

Hi friends!  I am sharing my card today for CASology's challenge.  This week's cue word is:

This wreath is a must have in your stash, in my humble opinion!  It is so beautiful and the little pine cones, be still my heart!  Just love it.  The set is called Winter Wreath by Avery Elle.  There is a ribbon stamp that goes along with this set but I decided, since the key word is ribbon, to showcase this cherry cobbler seam binding.  My background is stamped with En Francais in crumb cake on crumb cake card stock.  Looking at this card on the screen now, I wish I had sponged the edges of the main panel and the base.  Oh well, next time.  :)

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Cardstock:  Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake
Ink:  Cherry Cobbler, Choc. Chip, Crumb Cake
Stamps:  En Francais, Winter Wreath (Avery Elle)

Dazzling Divas Challenge~Take 2

Hi friends.  I am squeezing in another card for this week's Dazzling Divas Challenge.  You can view my first card here.  Monica (creator of Dazzling Divas Challenge) from Add a Little Dazzle is a member of StampNation. She has her own forum in "The Classroom" teaching us how to use Metal sheets and her newest product in her store, embossing paste and stencils.

I just placed my first order for some metal sheets, stencils, and embossing paste.  I can't wait to get them and use them on my cards.

For this week's challenge we were to create a Thank you card using this photo as inspiration.

I pulled the gold, red and black from the lantern to use on my card.  The Rounded diamond dies from Avery Elle made this card quick and easy to put together.  I am trying to have a few thank you cards on hand for after Christmas.  I know I will need a few.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Merry Monday

Happy Monday friends.  Today's card is for Merry Monday challenge.  I love this week's inspiration photo and challenge.

You can't go wrong with a white on white or in my case, vanilla on vanilla with kraft accents for Christmas.  I also made this exact same card using white for the accent and embossed the sentiment in white embossing powder but when I tried to get a photo of it you couldn't even see the sentiment.  :(  Someday my photography skills will improve so that I can capture that on a card.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Cardstock:  Very Vanilla, Crumb cake
Ink:  Crumb cake
