Merry Monday #139

This is my second post for today.
Please scroll down to see my The Challenge #21 post.

Welcome back!
Time for another Merry Monday Challenge.
This week Karren challenges us to create a winter themed Christmas card.

This card was totally inspired by my good friend, Maureen.
Her lesson in The Classroom on StampNation was creating a night sky but making it Clean & Simple.  I encourage you to check out her video on StampNation.

Not a member of StampNation yet?
What are you waiting for?

All supplies used on this card are by Papertrey Ink, except for the distress inks to create my night sky.
If you have any questions about any of them, leave me a comment.
Christmas will be here before you know it.
Make sure you check out the other DT members cards over at the Merry Monday challenge blog.
This will be our last challenge until the new year!  Have a very Merry Christmas!
Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

The Challenge #21

Hi everyone!

This week I chose to work with both the sketch and the color combo.  I am a hoarder of DSP and these colors matched the Season of Style DSP by SU!  I still have a ton of this paper.  I am happy to be able to use even just a little on my card today.

I hope you are inspired to play along in The Challenge this week.
You can use just the sketch, just the colors or combine both.
Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Stamps:  Instant Photo: Holidays (PTI)
Ink:  Early Espresso
Paper:  White, Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Season of Style DSP
Accessories:  Snowflake die (Wplus9), Deco labels (SU), Rhinestone

The Card Concept #25

Hi friends!
It is time for another fabulous challenge at The Card Concept!
This is our last challenge for 2014!  We will be back on Jan. 7th, 2015 with a brand new challenge and a new wild card team!

This week's challenge is a color and inspiration challenge.
(Silent Night Neutrals)

I was inspired by the star shaped cookies on the tray and that is where I went with my card.  I stamped the star from Bright and Beautiful by SU! onto Baked Brown Sugar, used the matching framelit to cut it out.  Layered the next size star in white on top to mimic the cookies.  To tie in the vanilla, I added a strip of vanilla DSP to the bottom of my card along with a strip of silver glimmer paper.  I stamped the sentiment from Mama Elephant onto the DSP using Baked Brown Sugar ink.  A big rhinestone in the center of the star finishes this card off.

Stop over to the Card Concept blog to see what the other girls have created in all of the different styles.  I just love this challenge just for this reason!  It's great to see all the different takes on one inspiration photo.

Thanks so much for stopping in!  I hope you get the chance to play along too!

Stamps:  Bright & Beautiful (Stampin Up!), Merry Greetings (Mama Elephant)
Ink:  Baked Brown Sugar (SU)
Paper:  White, Vanilla DSP, Silver Glimmer, Baked Brown Sugar (SU)
Accessories: Star Framelits, Rhinestone (SU)

Celebrate

Hi friends.  I am popping in today with a non-holiday card.  This card was inspired by showCASe your style and Addicted To CAS: Challenges.  I will also add this to "Just Us Girls" Challenge: Anything Goes.

I used the polka dot candle in the Happy Everything set by Clearly Whimsy.  Stamping them in the colors from the photo.  I stamped a stripe under the sentiment in versamark and covered it with Irridescent Ice Embossing powder for some added sparkle.  I also added a bit of sparkle to the flames with my wink of stella glitter pen but it doesn't show in the photo.

Before you go I want to share a sneak peek of this weeks StampNation challenge.
Can you guess what the challenge is?

Hi friends!
Today I am happy to be hopping along with many talented designers for the

I was so sad to read that this magazine will no longer be published.  I have always enjoyed flipping through and seeing all the amazing cards and projects that were featured in each magazine.  So much inspiration.

My sentiment says it all!  To the designers, Go-to-Gals and everyone involved to make this magazine such a success!  I am very thankful for each and every one of you!  Thank you!

Now keep on hopping!
Your next stop on the hop is the amazing Kimberly Crawford!
