Merry Monday #215-Guest Designer

Hi everyone!
I am excited to be guest designer over at Merry Monday this week.
I challenge you all to use dark & light pink with gray or silver on your cards.

I saw this image and knew exactly what stamp set I was going to use.  I had to create some crooky trees in these colors.  The crooky trees come from the Stamp of Approval Candy Cane Lane Collection.  I love that this stamp set has patterns and also the solid images.  So fun!!!

Make sure you check out the other DT members cards over at the Merry Monday challenge blog.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Merry Christmas

Happy Saturday everyone!
I am sharing another card I created using the Stamp of Approval Candy Cane Lane Collection.  It is so exciting seeing peeps receiving and creating with this collection, already!  Have you gotten yours yet?!!!  This collection is only available while supplies last.

I used the fun Merry & Bright Boughs stamp set to create this CAS card.  I stamped the branches across the top and bottom of the panel and then stamped the berries in red ink.  I used the Merry die from the Merry Labels Dies and die cut it from the panel, I adhered a small piece of red cardstock behind the die cut and then stamped Christmas straight onto the panel.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Noel using Candy Cane Lane SOA Collection

Hi everyone!  Did you get a chance to hop along yesterday to see creations from the Candy Cane Lane Collection?  I hope you enjoyed seeing the many ways to use the supplies in this collection.  Today is the second day of hops.

My hop day was yesterday and I shared 2 cards using goodies from the collection.  Click HERE to view those cards.  I have lots more to share though.

For this card I used the awesome Peppermint stick background stamp. I embossed using gold embossing powder.  I then used the Merry Label die to create my focal point to stamp the amazing Stag stamp from the Hip Holiday stamp set.  Look at his gold embossed, plaid chest and ears!!!  So cool.   I added the label die to the card using black fun foam for a bit of dimension.

Make sure you hop along each blog and leave comments for your chance to win a box!  Catherine is giving away a box a day, so you will want to leave comments.  The more comments you leave, the more chances you have to win.

STAMP OF APPROVAL CANDY CANE LANE BLOG HOP

Hi everyone! Welcome to the Stamp of Approval blog hop.  Today myself and many of my favorite designers are sharing cards using the Candy Cane Lane collection.  The box goes up for sale Wednesday at 10am.  StampNation members get the sales link one hour earlier at 9am EST!

**The box is only available while supplies last.**
Make sure that you are on the Wait List to be notified when it is available.

The box contains products that can be used together to create many different cards.  They can also be used along with products you already have in your supplies!  Awesome!!

Today I am featuring a card using the Peppermint Stick Background, Merry & Bright Boughs & Candy Cane Lane stamp sets by Catherine Pooler Designs.  Also the Candy Cane Lane matching dies and Merry Labels Dies by CAS-ual Fridays.

I have used many different stamps/dies in this collection on my card and look how amazing they work/look together.  That is one thing I love about these collections, Catherine takes the time to make sure they all work well together.  I can also see myself using these goodies with stamps/dies I already have in my stash!

I stamped and embossed the amazing background stamp using Silver Pearl embossing powder.  Love the tone on tone effect this gives on white paper.  I then used the biggest label die to cut a window in the center to allow for stamping and embellishments using the adorable candy canes.  I love the different patterns on the candy canes and the cute little holly/berries and bows that you can add to the top for embellishment.

My second card uses the Candy Cane Lane stamp set.

I am such a huge fan of these peppermint candies.  I not only enjoy using them on my cards, but I also enjoy eating them.  ;)  I stamped then die cut several in red and green.  To get them straight on my card, I used a ruler to draw a light pencil line at an angle across my card.  I glued the first row down following the pencil line and that made it easy to glue the rest down by adding them in the centers of the above row.  I love the design this created.  I stamped the sentiment following the angle of the candies and added a small rhinestone to each candy.  Super cute, clean and pretty simple card to create.

It's now time to start hopping along, but before you go make sure to leave a comment on each stop along the hop.  THREE lucky commenters will win a Stamp of Approval box.   The more times you comment, the more chances you will have to win!

You've got until Thursday at 9:00AM EST to get those comments in. The winner will be announced on Catherine Pooler's blog!  Good luck and happy hopping!

Merry Monday #212 & Farewell

Hi everyone!

Merry Monday challenges are going to be back in full swing now after the break for the summer months.  This will be my last post as a Merry Monday Design Team member.  I have been on the DT since Dec. 2013 and feel it is time to step down.  I have totally enjoyed being on this Design Team and want to thank Lesley and Lori for all their hard work keeping this challenge up and running.

I love making Christmas cards year round and this challenge has definitely helped me to do just that.  Since I will still be making my Christmas card each year I will be playing along in the challenges, just not as a DT member.

Here is my card for this week's challenge.

Deanne challenges us to use Gold, Black & White.

I created a fun shaker card using the Concentric Circles die from the last Stamp of Approval Collection.  I created the sentiment by mixing and matching some supplies from Papertrey Ink and a die from Catherine Pooler Designs.  The background is stamped and embossed in clear embossing powder using the stamp set Holiday Flourishes by the Ton from the Holiday Magic Stamp of Approval Collection.

Make sure you check out the other DT members cards over at the Merry Monday challenge blog.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!
