Merry Christmas

Hi everyone!
I am sharing a fun one layer, easy to mass produce, Christmas card using the stamps from the Stamp of Approval Candy Cane Lane Collection.  I randomly stamped the candy canes in red and green then filled in with the blue peppermint candies.  Added my sentiment in black and a strip of black card stock along the bottom and voila, finished card!  :)

Merry & Bright

Hi everyone!
I am popping in quickly on this Friday morning to share a card I created for Christmas Card Challenges: Anything Goes.
I used Papertrey Ink's Splits: Best Wishes Stamp set for the greenery down the side and a sentiment from Verve.  The red dots were added using stickles for a bit of dimension and shine.

I also wanted to share a peek of my card over at StampNation.
This week's challenge was to add a pumpkin/s to our cards.

Hello for CAS(E) this Sketch!

Hi everyone!
I had some time this morning to play along with the awesome sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch!

This sketch sings to my CAS heart!  I love how this leaf turned out.  I first stamped the Mini Scenery: Multifaceted stamp by Winnie & Walter onto water color cardstock.  Heat embossed using gold embossing powder then used Color Bursts to add color.  I then die cut using a leaf from My Favorite Things.  I love that the color burst powders give it a realistic look.  The colors are just beautiful here in the North West corner of Connecticut!  Recognize this leaf Michele?!!  :)

It is hard to see in the photo, but I scored lines down the front panel to represent the darker piece in the sketch.  Recognize that Hello stamp?  It is from the Hello World stamp set designed by Chaitali for Catherine Pooler Designs.  You still have time to purchase this stamp set to help a school in Boston purchase computers.  Read more here!

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!!!

I wanted to share a couple more cards with you today.

I used one of the leaf stamps from the Lovely Flowers stamp set to create this fun rainbow image.  The hello is part of the Hello World stamp set with matching die and that lovely black and white stripe on the side is a new stamp from Yay! Stripes

Another card using the same supplies but using the hi stamp and matching die.  LOVE the little heart dotting the i!!!

All profits from the sale of the Hello World stamp set and the coordinating dies from Saturday Oct. 1-Friday, Oct. 7 will purchase computers and other school supplies for Sean's classroom.  So cool, right?!!!

Hello World Blog Hop

Hi everyone!  Happy World Card Making Day!

Today I am so excited to be participating in a fun blog hop that "gives back"!  You should have arrived here from Miriam Prantner's blog.  If not, you can start at the beginning on Catherine's blog.

Catherine has wanted to add a "Giving Back" element to her business for some time now and NOW is the time and perfect opportunity for our card making community to help "give back" by helping to raise money to purchase computers for Jennifer Ingle's husband's class in Boston.  You can read more here:   https://www.donorschoose.org/project/chromebooks-for-urban-education/2208813/

YOU can help by purchasing a brand new stamp & die set illustrated by Chaitali Narla for Catherine Pooler Designs called Hello World.  All profits from the sale of this stamp set and the coordinating dies from Saturday Oct. 1-Friday, Oct. 7 will purchase computers and other school supplies for Sean's classroom.  So cool, right?!!!

Here are a couple cards I created using the Hello World stamp set and dies.

As you can see on my card there are many different "hello" and "Hi" stamps in several languages with fun greetings to stamp with it to tie in all the elements above.  I decided to use all of the big sentiment images on my card.  I placed them where I wanted them on my clear block then stamped and heat embossed using silver pearl embossing powder.  I then masked off the edges using post it tape and sponged to create a colorful focal point.  I then stamped, embossed and die cut the biggest hello stamp from the set.  Attached that to my card along with a heat embossed friend sentiment that comes in the set.

Here is another card I wanted to share.

This card uses one of the Hello's in the Hello World stamp set, but it also uses the amazing Yay Stripes! stamp set that Catherine designed and has for sale today in her store.  :)  Awesome, right?!

Make sure you head on over to Catherine's blog to watch her video sharing how this "giving back" promotion came about.

Click here to visit the store and help us raise funds to open the world for these kids through computers!

Your next stop on the hop is the amazing Amy Scheffer.

Here is the full hop list.
