With love....

Hi everyone!  I have some Christmas cards to share with you today inspired by these KISS cards by Catherine and the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch!

I haven't played with these candy cane stamps in a while, so thought I would pull them out again and create some cards.  The sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch! worked perfectly for my cards.  I love the stripe stamp from Scenery: Holiday Trimmings by Winnie & Walter for the SOA Holiday Magic Collection.  It looks awesome embossed using the Wanderlust embossing powder by WOW!

I couldn't make just one.  I had all my supplies out so I created multiples using different colors.

Here is the sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch!

Strawberry Thank You

Hi everyone!
I am sharing a fun, summery thank you card today.

The yummy strawberry stamps are from the I Pick You stamp set by Catherine Pooler.  Using my MISTI to get them stamped in straight lines.

I did a little stamping on the inside too!

Here's a peek at my card for this week's Floral Inspired Color Challenge over at StampNation.

Concord & 9th Masterclass - Layering stamps

Hi everyone!  We are in the middle of the Concord & 9th Masterclass over at StampNation.  Concord & 9th is teaching us all about Unexpected Layering.  So far we have learned about layering with dies and stamps.

The video's have been amazing so far and I can't wait to learn more.

For my cards today, I decided to do some creative layering with stamps.  I took Concord & 9th's Barnwood Background stamp to stamp my card panel.  I then stamped the outline flower from You are Enough and filled in with the solid stamps to add color.  I love the effect using a light shade and a darker shade to create a realistic looking flower.

I took the Hope label die to cut from the panel and stamped a coordinating sentiment from the Hope stamp set.  I added my panel to a piece of black card stock to help the sentiment stand out.  I attached this to a white card base and added some black and white twine and some sequins to finish off my card.

While I had my supplies out I made another card using different colors.

Best in You

Hi everyone!
Happy Saturday!

I have a couple cards to share with you today using one of my favorite sentiment stamps from Catherine's Freshly Picked release.  I definitely want to live this way and teach my children the same.  Isn't it a great sentiment to live by?!

I wanted the sentiment to take center stage, so I used my MISTI.  I then took the layering flowers from the set to stamp around the sentiment.  Aren't those flowers fun?  There are three layers, but you can just stamp two if you like. ( I did just two layers on the pink flowers below)   I am a bit obsessed with gray leaves lately.  I used the new Black Jack ink to stamp off to get the lightest color and then full on Black Jack for the second layer.  I added some black and white twine to finish off this one layer card.

This card is very similar, but I took the largest Merry Labels die to cut from my top layer.  I then added some foam tape to pop it up in the negative space.  I LOVE that this sentiment fits perfectly in the Merry Labels die!!!!

Before you go I wanted to let you know about a sale over at Ellen Hutson!  She is having a HUGE Christmas in July sale.

Pineapple thank you

Hi everyone!
I have a quick thank you card to share with you today!

I started by masking off a strip on the front of my card and then used Glass Bead Glitter Gel through the Checkerboard stencil.  I stamped the pink pineapple, die cut it and then stamped and embossed the sentiment on black card stock.  I scattered a few sparkly clear sequins to finish it off.

Here's a close up of the Glass Bead Glitter Gel.

Love the sparkle!

Today's card features the Mod Flowers stencil and the I Pick You stamp set and matching dies.

I lightly sponged over the Mod Flowers stencil using the new Black Jack ink.  I die cut then stamped the two apples.  Stamped the sentiment and then attached the apples with foam tape.  For my finishing touch I added some black and white twine.

Catherine Pooler's Freshly Picked Release!!

Hi everyone!
Have you heard the news?  Catherine is releasing some new goodies today.  The Freshly Picked release is available now!  Click HERE to purchase the entire bundle.

I am sharing my favorite card I made with this release.  The sentiment from Best in You is just amazing.  Not sure if you heard the story behind it, but Catherine shared on Facebook live and also on StampNation Live, I encourage you to check it out.

I just love this sentiment paired with the colorful "flowers" that I just stamped as circles to create a fun border.  I love the second layer stamped in a slightly darker color!

AND also releasing today are a few former Stamp of Approval Collections!  The Candy Cane Lane collection (think Christmas cards) and The Perfect Reason collection (think peacocks)!

Here is a look at all the items being released today.  LOOK at those inks!  Love the dark gray and the perfect brown color!  I am in love with everything that is being released!! I am such a fan of stencils and these are amazing!

I will be back tomorrow with another card I made using this release.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

MCV82 - Christmas in July!

Hi everyone!
As you can tell by my most recent blog posts, I am on a Christmas card making roll.  Today I have two more cards to share with you.  The first one was inspired by Jessica from All the Sparkle over at Muse: Christmas Visions.

I focused on Jess's:
  • Color scheme
  • use of Poinesttia's
  • Gold embossing
I am not good at Copic coloring, so I used my Zig Clean Color Markers.  I find I get much better results with these.  While I had my supplies out, I created a few more cards.

For this card I embossed using silver embossing powder and used a teal and pink color combo.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Might as well make more than one when you have all your supplies out, right?

Another design using the same stamp set by Papertrey Ink.

Christmas card

Hi everyone!
Happy Friday!   I have a quick Christmas card to share with you all today.
I was totally inspired by this gorgeous card by Lydia.

I have been on a Christmas card making kick lately!  Thank goodness, I hadn't made a Christmas card in what seemed like forever.  I know if I don't start now, I will be scrambling come Oct.  I am trying to make at least 4 of the same design, just changing up colors. This card is an easy one to do just that.

The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and the snowflakes are from CAS-ual Fridays for the SOA Holiday Magic Collection.  The Merry Label Die is also from CAS-ual Fridays for the SOA Candy Cane Lane collection.  The Catherine Pooler ink colors I used are It's a Boy and Something Borrowed.

I am adding this over at Christmas Card Challenges.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Gelatos for Masterclasses

Hi everyone!
The first video was posted over on StampNation for the Masterclasses!

StampNation is bringing you a series of Masterclasses, each focusing on a different topic and taught by master teachers in the industry.

Each Masterclass will consist of:
  • Video tutorials from industry experts
  • Hosted challenges (and prizes!)
  • Live Members-only chats with the designers and companies
Sounds like a fun summer, right?!!!

I was so inspired, I just had to get out my gelatos by Faber-Castell and play with one of the ten techniques that were shared in the first video.

I have played a bit with my gelatos, but have never tried this technique.  It's a fun and very easy one to do.  Want to find out how to do it?  Join StampNation today!

I am adding this over at the Calling All Sistahs Encouragement challenge!  I was inspired by the paint splatters in the photo. :)

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Snowmen Christmas card

Hi everyone!
Happy Monday!

I have a Christmas card to share today.  I am playing along with the challenge at StampNation.  This week's challenge was to use a snowman on your Christmas card.  I haven't made a Christmas card in a while and don't want to be scrambling when it is time to send them out.

I searched through my stash and found some snowmen stamps.  I stamped them in a row, using Archival ink onto Bristol cardstock so I could color in their hats and scarves with Zig Clean Color Brush Markers.  How cute are they in their rainbow hats?  :)  I couldn't capture it in the photo, but I added some glitter to the brims of their hats for some shine.

While I had the supplies out I made 4 of these.  Same design, just colored their hats different colors.

Here is one in traditional green and red.

I am also going to add one of these over at Christmas Card Challenges

Before you go, I wanted to share a bit of excitement that is going to be happening this summer over at StampNation!!!!!

Father's Day Card

Hi everyone!  When I saw this card by my good friend Maureen, I knew I needed to CASE it.

I didn't stray too much from Mo's design.  I changed the colors, sentiment and I placed my stamping in the center of the card instead of off to the side like Mo did.  I didn't add any extras onto my card.  I also made one using Rockin' Red in place of Something Borrowed.  Thank you for the inspiration, Maureen!

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Birthday Wishes

Hi everyone!

I have a couple more cards to share with you today using some of the goodies from the SOA Naturally Inspired collection which has SOLD OUT!  WOW!  You all love this collection.

I sure hope you were on the Wait List and grabbed your collection.  The stamps/dies etc...will be available (fall/winter) for individual sale in Catherine's store.

I am loving the images in the Wild Garden stamp set and today I added a bit of color to a few of them.  After inking my green leaves, I spritzed with water to give a water colored look.  I couldn't resist adding a few silhouette images.

To add a bit of sparkle, I stamped and heat embossed the butterfly images using the Wanderlust embossing powder.  They look amazing in real life.  So hard to capture in the photo.

Another clean and simple card using the Wild Garden stamp set and the coordinating dies.  The dies are an add on item and are sold out already, BUT they are on order and will be available soon.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

SOA Naturally Inspired - Wait List Release Day

Hi everyone!  If you are on the Stamp of Approval wait list, it's release day!  I hope you signed up!  The collection goes on sale to the public tomorrow.  YAY!!!

To kick off the wait list release day, I am sharing this fun card using the Simply the Best stamp set.  This card could easily be mass produced in many different color schemes.  I used It's a Boy and Bellini.  You could also kick this up a notch and fussy cut the banners and pop those up.  So many options here.

My next card features the Medallion Mix-up & Simply the Best stamp sets.  Think of all the color possibilities for this card too?!!!  I used It's a Girl and Bellini.

I look forward to seeing all of your creations with this collection.  Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

You're the Best!!!

Hi everyone!  Did you get a chance to hop along the SOA Natually Inspired Blog hops yesterday and Sunday?  Click here to visit my blog hop post yesterday and then head on over to Catherine's blog where she will have the blog hop lists for each day.

I still have more cards to share with you all.  This one features the Medallion Mix-up Stamp set, the Best & Spiro Doily die and the Simply the Best stamp set.

I stamped the image in rainbow order, then cut the spiro doily from vellum.  I stamped You're the from the Simply the Best stamp set onto the vellum and glued the die cut best onto the vellum.  I was able to hide the glue behind the best die.

You could re-make this card using a different color scheme to get a totally different look.

I hope you are inspired and I can't wait to see all the different cards popping up all over blog land and Instagram using this collection.  I think that is my favorite part.  :)

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!
